Rainbow Body Yoga Online Weekend Course


Rainbow Body Yoga (RBY) is the main post-awakening purification practice of Amrita Mandala. Springing forth directly from the blessings of the inner guru, the techniques of RBY revolve around a central mantra comprised of various meditational deities, or enlightened archetypes (Tib. yidam). In essence, the mantra is a direct doorway to the recognition of the pristine nature of mind, and its perfect qualities of clarity, radiance, and peace. Rainbow Body Yoga is designed to properly reveal these qualities in the mind of the practitioner, thus liberating the self-based mental-emotional habits that keeps us trapped in a cycle of discontentment.

Rainbow Body Yoga is a combination of tantric yoga, including mantras, visualisations, mudras and breathing exercises, Dynamic Concentration and so-called non-meditation, or resting in the recognition of pure awareness.

The practice sequence comes in two main versions, Rainbow Body Yoga Lite and the complete Rainbow Body Yoga sequence. Both versions are taught during this weekend course, and practitioners are required to practice the lite version for a full year before starting their practice of full Rainbow Body Yoga.

While highly effective, the practice is easy to learn and specially designed for laypeople that, due to other responsibilities, have limited time for practice. Once learned the whole series of practices takes about 35-45 minutes from beginning to end.

The purpose of Rainbow Body Yoga is to clear out the habitual mind patterns and emotional traumas which are the causes of discontentment in everyday life. The practice can be learned by anyone with normal health and life situations, regardless of previous meditation experience.

If you have a history of mental illness, please discuss this with the teacher before attending the teachings.
